Making a horse available to claim provides a small race-rating advantage. Horses in standard $40,000 and $50,000 claiming races can be claimed. In $60,000, $80,000, and $100,000 Optional Claiming races, you choose whether the horse is available.
When entering an Optional Claiming race, turn on the claim option to make the horse available. If the horse is claimed, you receive the race’s claim price less a 10% tax, as well as any race earnings.
Players placing a claim need enough EQ money and an available Main Stall. If several eligible claims are placed for the same horse, the successful claim is selected at random.
