Gameplay

How It Works

Equination is built around the rhythm of managing a racing stable: make decisions, enter races, review the outcomes, and grow stronger over time.

Race ratings are influenced by each horse's abilities, training, and race factors. Training choices such as workouts, gallops, jogging, swimming, and turnout help players plan future starts.

No horse racing experience is required. Players can learn as they go, lean on the message boards, and enjoy a game built with real racing knowledge.

Founder

Meet Jacklyn Wyatt

Equination was created by Jacklyn Wyatt, known to many longtime players as Jackie. Based in Ontario, Canada, Jacklyn grew up with a deep love of horses and spent more than a decade working with Thoroughbred racehorses as a jockey and exercise rider.

Before Equination, Jacklyn created Shady Hill Farm, a small manually updated virtual horse game built around a simple idea: giving horse lovers the chance to own and manage horses, even if they could not do so in real life. That idea eventually grew into Equination.net, which opened publicly in 2002.

Outside of Equination, Jacklyn has also built a career in technology, risk, and cybersecurity, which continues to shape her focus on maintaining and improving the game responsibly.
